1. Winch operators must undergo professional training and hold the appropriate certification before commencing work. They must remain focused during operation; any obstacles within the line of sight must be cleared promptly, and operation is prohibited if signals are unclear.
2. Before starting work, the winch should be run without a load to verify that the electrical system, braking system, and surrounding environment are in good condition. Operators must be fully informed of the specific tasks and workload for their shift.
3. Operators must not leave their posts while a suspended load has not yet fully settled on the ground. During breaks or work stoppages, the load or lifting cage must be lowered to the ground. After the shift ends, the power supply must be cut off and the electrical control box securely closed.
4. Operators must constantly monitor operating conditions and the wear of the wire rope. When lifting a load for the first time (or after a change in load), the load should be lifted 0.5 meters off the ground and paused briefly; lifting should only continue after confirming there are no issues.
5. When using a single-drum winch, the descent speed must be controlled using the brake; avoid excessive speed or sudden, violent braking-the load should be lowered gradually.
6. The use of lever-type switches is prohibited to prevent accidental operation caused by collisions.
7. Wire ropes must be lubricated with grease regularly and placed in designated channels to prevent them from being crushed or run over, which could compromise their structural integrity.
8. For winches with a rated pulling force exceeding 125 kN, a rope-guiding device must be installed; a minimum of 3 to 5 wraps of wire rope must remain on the drum, and the end of the rope must be securely anchored.
9. The distance from the outer edge of the drum flange to the outermost layer of wire rope must be at least 1.5 times the diameter of the wire rope.
10. During operation, no one is permitted to step over the winch's wire rope while it is in use.
