My country's oil processing equipment sector has continuously developed by assimilating advanced foreign technologies, achieving significant progress in both technology and manufacturing capabilities.
Regarding oilseed pretreatment equipment, the technical standards of machinery-such as dehullers, crushers, flaking mills, and conditioning/roasting vessels-have steadily improved, with continuous enhancements in processing capacity, dehulling efficiency, and energy conservation.
In the realm of oil extraction equipment, the processing capacity of the 2x24 model screw pre-press has reached 40–50 tons per day. Meanwhile, tank-battery extractors are being phased out in favor of more efficient horizontal rotary and loop extractors due to their outdated performance.
Significant strides have also been made in terms of system integration, large-scale capacity, and international reach. In March 2020, complete oil processing lines-capable of handling 3,000 tons of soybeans, 2,000 tons of rapeseed, and 2,700 tons of sunflower seeds per day-were exported to Russia. Representing China's largest export of complete oil processing equipment to Europe to date, these systems feature fully independent intellectual property rights. This milestone underscores the substantial progress of China's oil processing technology and manufacturing, while also deepening agricultural cooperation between China and Russia under the "Belt and Road Initiative."
In recent years, the international application of Chinese oil processing equipment has expanded into African markets. Between 2025 and 2026, advanced Chinese oil processing equipment has operated reliably at the Athi River Export Processing Zone in Nairobi, Kenya. This facility processes local avocados into crude oil for export back to China, creating a complete closed-loop supply chain that encompasses equipment export, local plant construction, deep processing, and product repatriation.
